Burn-scar elevator pitch

My name is Chad Pattengale. I am a Marine veteran and an environmental science student at Cal Baptist. After a fire, the scar is not just bare dirt. It is loaded with PAHs from the burn. Grass comes back. The toxins do not. And the ground stays tight, so it burns again. Desert Fog Mycology's remediation line uses oyster mushrooms — the same organism I grow for kitchens — to pull those PAHs out of burn-scar soil, while we watch the ground open back up with resistivity monitoring. Plants and fungi on the same scar, not one or the other. Coal-ash work was the prior study. This line is fire ground. The grow container is my design. The science stays with the university.
